ABOUT US
Loma Public Education Fund (LPEF) is a volunteer-driven nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization that raises funds for Loma Prieta Elementary School and C.T. English Middle School. LPEF grants funds to the district for specific programs that directly support student learning such as P.E., music/band, art, other electives and library, counseling and math intervention services. LPEF grants bridge the gap between what our schools receive in government funding and the cost to educate each student. Tax ID # 03-0440872
OUR MISSION
LPEF believes that education is the basis of opportunity. Our mission is to ensure that each child in our school district has access to a curriculum that enables them to grow and thrive and be able to respond to future opportunities.
OUR GOALS
Each year, our Board meets with school officials to set funding goals and grant priorities in line with district goals set out in the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
FUNDRAISING
LPEF raises funds for our schools by organizing social events for the community that are sponsored by local businesses and community members who realize the importance of being involved in helping fund education. We also run a direct donation campaign - Keep Excellent Education programs (KEEP!) that makes up over half of the annual LPEF budget.
GRANTS
Monies are awarded by LPEF to the District - LPJUSD, as specific program grants and include accountability requirements and measurement criteria.
GOVERNANCE
