Dear Mountain Community,
To the parents, teachers and affiliated professionals who work, volunteer and contribute so tirelessly through the year at Loma Prieta Elementary and CT English schools, my fellow LPEF board members and volunteers would like to send sincere wishes for a productive, fulfilling and healthful Holiday Season and New Year!
Looking back over this fall, we had another successful Gala. In fact, it was record breaking! Our other fundraisers included “LPEF Night at WineBar 107,” “Shop for Our Schools” at the Summit Store and "Loma Day at Peacock Tree Farm.” All four of these events raised enough money to keep us on target to fund educational programs in 2016-‘17.
If you contributed during the past year, I would like to encourage you to submit for corporate matching before the end of the year. If you are unsure whether or not your corporation participates, please contact board member Claire Grosjean at finance@lpef.org. She can also provide a receipt for your total annual contribution if you need one. Thank you for helping us secure extra dollars that your companies provide for the asking.
In 2016, we hope you’ll plan on participating in another “Shop for Our Schools” at Summit Store; “Sip for Our Schools” Saturday and Sunday, April 23-24, at the Loma Prieta Winery; and our biggest Spring fundraiser, the 6th annual LPEF Charity Golf Tournament Friday, May 20, at DeLaveaga Golf Course.
These initiatives and our annual KEEP! Campaign are the backbone of our fundraising efforts. They’re also wonderful events where we join together as a community on behalf of our kids. We look forward to seeing you there.
As always, you may contact me at president@lpef.org with any questions.
With kindest regards,
Joni Thomas
